Every so often the board makes a mistake, and the Eagles were there to profit. Jordan James, the No. 120 name on the board, should have been long gone before the 169th overall pick. They moved the roster forward and banked a B for it.

They covered a lot of ground and still skipped cornerback, which is a strange place to end up. They left with interior defensive lineman solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off. The weekend tilted hard toward the defense.

In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.
