The Eagles robbed the room for Mullings. Final grade: B. Every so often the board makes a mistake, and the Eagles were there to profit. Kalel Mullings, the No. 105 name on the board, should have been long gone before the 207th overall pick.
Reaching for Wilson left real value on the table behind him. For all the activity, cornerback went untouched, which is hard to explain.
Job largely done: edge rusher settled and 6 of 9 of the wish list covered.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but cornerback.
Pick Analysis
Pick31
Rnd1
Nic Scourton
In slot 31 they get a problem off the edge, reach and all. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Pick63
Rnd2
Harold Fannin Jr.
Harold Fannin Jr. in the 63rd pick is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick65
Rnd3
Nick Emmanwori
Taking Nick Emmanwori in Round 3, Pick 1 is close to grand larceny; a safety that good had no business lasting this long. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick128
Rnd4
Ozzy Trapilo
By-the-book stuff, Ozzy Trapilo at pick 128 squarely in line with his ranking. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick160
Rnd5
Ricky White III
Ricky White III at No. 160 is a steep price for a hunch, hard to square with any board. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick164
Rnd5
Jared Wilson
A swing that ignored the value entirely, Jared Wilson well ahead of where he belonged. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick188
Rnd6
Chris Paul Jr.
Chris Paul Jr. at the 188th overall pick is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. A minor itch, scratched.
Pick207
Rnd6
Kalel Mullings
They robbed the room for Kalel Mullings here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. The roster fit checks out.
Pick243
Rnd7
Garrett Dellinger
A wild overpay on Garrett Dellinger in slot 243, the sort that defines a class for the wrong reasons. A need, and now a little less of one.
