Somewhere a scout is still blinking. The Packers spent pick 88 on Brenden Rice, a name the board had a full 33 spots lower.

Every deal seemed to tilt their way, which is not luck. Getting Amegadjie where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class. The Packers indulged a want in Wallace while a need in quarterback and tight end stayed open.

For all the activity, quarterback went untouched, which is hard to explain.

A workmanlike haul that should hold up just fine.
