Draft Grade — Jaguars
Overall B
ValueB- NeedA- TradesC- FutureA
No fireworks, just a tidy B for the Jaguars.

The Jaguars did not so much draft Bhayshul Tuten as overpay for him, 26 picks clear of his grade. It sets an uneasy tone for the weekend. It nets out to a B, which feels about right.

That linebacker hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. Ayomanor at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster.

Not a headline-grabber, but a perfectly good weekend's work.

Pick Analysis
Pick17 Rnd1 Kenneth Grant
In Round 1, Pick 17 they get a load in the middle. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Pick36 Rnd2 Tyler Booker
A market-rate offensive lineman, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Tyler Booker. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick49 Rnd2 Marcus Mbow
They paid sticker price for Marcus Mbow in pick No. 49, and that is fine. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick70 Rnd3 Elic Ayomanor
They read the board right and Elic Ayomanor was the payoff at the 70th pick. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick88 Rnd3 Andrew Mukuba
Fair-plus on Andrew Mukuba, a quiet win that adds up over a draft. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick107 Rnd4 Denzel Burke
No edge and no loss on Denzel Burke in the 107th overall pick; it is a wash and a sensible one. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick119 Rnd4 Jake Majors
Jake Majors at pick No. 119 is a conviction pick that outran the value. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick126 Rnd4 Bhayshul Tuten
Bhayshul Tuten in the 126th pick is a bet on their own eyes over everyone else's grade. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
