Good, not great, for the Jaguars: B. Somehow the biggest item on the list survived the weekend. The Jaguars never addressed safety, and it is the kind of gap that lingers.
However the rest shakes out, Higgins at that price is a win they earned. They are betting Grant proves the room right and everyone else wrong.
In sum, a sensible class that nudges the roster the right way.
Pick Analysis
Pick12
Rnd1
Kenneth Grant
In pick 12 they get an anchor for the defensive front, even if it was a touch early. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Pick36
Rnd2
Tyler Booker
Tyler Booker in the 36th pick is exactly on the number, no argument either way. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick70
Rnd3
Azareye'h Thomas
Quietly one of the better values of the day, Azareye'h Thomas at pick No. 70. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick76
Rnd3
Elijah Arroyo
No drama and no debate, Elijah Arroyo went about where he belonged in Round 3, Pick 12. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick88
Rnd3
Jayden Higgins
Nice patience on Jayden Higgins, who had no business lasting to the Round 3 slot. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
