When a board-topper like Jaylan Ford slides to the Round 7 slot, you do not overthink it, and the Panthers did not. A dependable weekend that grades out a B+.

The phones were where this weekend was really won. The cost of the Samac reach is exactly the players who went right after him.

That cornerback hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. The Solomon pick reads as want over need, and the roster will feel it at cornerback, quarterback and other spots.

A tidy weekend of work that should hold up just fine.
