The phones sank the Panthers this weekend: D-.

You can fall in love with a player. You are not supposed to marry him in the wrong round. The Panthers did exactly that with Xavier Thomas in pick 222. The math is unkind, and the D- follows.

The dealing is the wound this class cannot quite close. That linebacker hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. The Simpson value carries more weight than any single miss elsewhere.

The imported veterans give this class a floor the draft picks could not on their own.

Bottom line, they will be counting on several picks to beat their grades.
