The Cowboys bet big and early on J.J. Weaver, 84 picks ahead of the board. Bold does not always mean right. The board pushed back all weekend, and the D is the result.

The trades bled value they could not afford to lose. For all the activity, tight end went untouched, which is hard to explain.

Bottom line, they will need several of these picks to beat their grades just to break even.
