They finally answered the question that shadows every other one. J.J. McCarthy is the Broncos' quarterback, full stop.

If McCarthy pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about. The Solomon pick reads as want over need, and the roster will feel it at linebacker, interior defensive lineman and other spots.

That linebacker hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall.
