The Raiders drew a line under the quarterback search with McCarthy: B-.

The one hole that towered over the rest is filled. The Raiders spent their marquee pick on J.J. McCarthy, and for the first time in a while there is a real answer at quarterback. It does the job without flash, and the B- reflects it.

The McCarthy reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade. If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through edge rusher.

On the needs board they went 6 of 8, with cornerback the one that mattered most.

A workmanlike haul that should hold up just fine.
