The steal of the weekend belongs to the Lions and Wilson: B.

Somebody in the Round 4 slot was going to get robbed, and it turned out to be the rest of the league. The Lions sat still while Jared Wilson, the No. 102 name on the board, slid all the way to them, then sprinted to the podium. It nets out to a B, which feels about right.

They covered a lot of ground and still skipped safety, which is a strange place to end up. They will need Kennard to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it. Cornerback was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.

In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.

Nice patience on Tyler Warren, who had no business lasting to No. 33. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick60 Rnd2 Kyle Kennard
They paid up for Kyle Kennard at the 60th overall pick when waiting would have done the job. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.

Savion Williams in the Round 3 slot is exactly on the number, no argument either way. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
