Hairston should have been long gone. The Texans pounced, and earned a B-.

Somebody in slot 241 was going to get robbed, and it turned out to be the rest of the league. The Texans sat still while Maxwell Hairston, the No. 73 name on the board, slid all the way to them, then sprinted to the podium. The bottom line is a respectable B-.

The Broughton pick is the one the value grade keeps tripping over. A whole weekend of picks and edge rusher is somehow still a want. Running back is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.

They came away with juice, if not much beef up front.

A tidy weekend of work that should hold up just fine.

Pat Bryant at the 166th pick is the steal of the weekend, a first-round talent at a bargain-bin price. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
