Draft Grade — Bills
Overall C-
ValueF NeedB TradesB- FutureB-
A mixed bag for the Bills, and a C- to match.

The Bills put a flag in the ground for Warren Brinson, 185 picks before anyone else would have, and the value took the hit. It washes out to a C-, no better and no worse.

However the rest shakes out, Membou at that price is a win they earned. They punted on edge rusher, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest.

If Quincy Riley and a couple of the gambles land, hindsight will be kinder than this grade.

Pick Analysis
Pick30 Rnd1 Quincy Riley
In the 30th overall pick they get a sticky cover corner, a steep price for the projection. More want than need.
Pick56 Rnd2 Tai Felton
Tai Felton in No. 56 is a reach so steep the board needed a second look to believe it. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick62 Rnd2 Tyleik Williams
The board fumbled Tyleik Williams all the way to the 62nd pick, and they scooped it up. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick109 Rnd4 Warren Brinson
Warren Brinson at Round 4, Pick 7 is the pick scouts circle, and not in a good way. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick132 Rnd4 Armand Membou
Armand Membou in slot 132 should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick169 Rnd5 LaJohntay Wester
This one needs a full-page explanation: LaJohntay Wester in the Round 5 slot, miles early. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick170 Rnd5 Kai Kroeger
Value said wait; Kai Kroeger in No. 170 says they were not listening. A luxury on a unit that was already in good shape.
Pick173 Rnd5 Jaylin Smith
A big swing on Jaylin Smith at slot 173, well ahead of any board in the building. Insurance at a position that did not really ask for it.
Pick177 Rnd6 Rayuan Lane III
The board screamed and they did not listen, reaching into the next round for Rayuan Lane III. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick206 Rnd6 Jeffrey Bassa
They robbed the room for Jeffrey Bassa here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
