The board owed the Bengals one, and it paid up: Isaiah Neyor, the No. 218 name on the board, sitting there at the 252nd overall pick like a gift left on the doorstep. They moved the roster forward and banked a B for it.

For all the activity, tight end went untouched, which is hard to explain. The roster is better shaped than it was, with cornerback chief among the fixes. The trenches got the money picks, top to bottom.

Bottom line, more hits than misses and a roster nudged the right way.
