Phillips should have been long gone. The Bengals pounced, and earned a B.

The value of the weekend has a name and a slot: Andru Phillips, Round 6, Pick 21, roughly 29 picks past where he belonged. It does the job without flash, and the B reflects it.

Leaving interior defensive lineman unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. Cornerback was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.

The offense got the lion's share of the attention.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but interior defensive lineman.
