The Bengals did not reach, did not trade up, did not blink. They just waited, and Dallas Turner fell into Round 2, Pick 17. A sturdy weekend that grades out a B.

The Bengals indulged a want in Smith while a need in tight end, interior defensive lineman and other spots stayed open. For all the activity, tight end went untouched, which is hard to explain.

All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.
