The Jets won the night they stopped Walker from sliding. Grade: B-. Every so often the board makes a mistake, and the Jets were there to profit. Jalon Walker, the No. 24 name on the board, should have been long gone before slot 66.
They are betting Brinson proves the room right and everyone else wrong. They robbed the room blind at the table, and it lifts the grade on its own.
The Jets clearly valued win-now help, adding bodies who have done it before. They are betting the present roster is worth a lighter draft next spring.
Bottom line, more hits than misses and a roster nudged the right way.
