Draft Grade — Jets
Overall B
ValueB- NeedB TradesA FutureB-
Good, not great, for the Jets: B.

There is a lot to like until you notice quarterback is still a hole. The Jets never got to the one that mattered most. A dependable weekend that grades out a B.

However the rest shakes out, Knight Jr. at that price is a win they earned. The Elzinga reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade. The dealing nudged the ledger their way without much fuss.

Cornerback is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.

Good work on the whole, with quarterback the one box left unchecked.

Pick Analysis
Pick11 Rnd1 Armand Membou
In pick 11 they get a cornerstone up front at fair value. A clean fit for the roster.
Pick47 Rnd2 T.J. Sanders
Nothing to complain about; T.J. Sanders went a shade earlier than his grade, which is fine. The roster fit checks out.
Pick48 Rnd2 Harold Fannin Jr.
They paid sticker price for Harold Fannin Jr. in slot 48, and that is fine. A minor itch, scratched.
Pick54 Rnd2 Azareye'h Thomas
Azareye'h Thomas in the 54th overall pick is fair value, right on his grade. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick75 Rnd3 Demetrius Knight Jr.
Nice patience on Demetrius Knight Jr., who had no business lasting to Round 3, Pick 11. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
Pick110 Rnd4 Tez Johnson
A tidy bit of business in the Round 4 slot, where Tez Johnson graded well above the range. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick151 Rnd5 Bhayshul Tuten
Bhayshul Tuten in the 151st pick is exactly on the number, no argument either way. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick186 Rnd6 Jaylen Reed
Jaylen Reed at pick No. 186 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick207 Rnd6 Luke Elzinga
Luke Elzinga at Round 6, Pick 31 jumps the queue by a touch more than is comfortable. They doubled down on a strength rather than a need.
