Lawson should have been long gone. The Seahawks pounced, and earned a B.

You could see the war room lean forward. Deontae Lawson at pick No. 173 is the sort of fall that does not happen, except it just did.

They will need Jackson to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it. Leaving quarterback unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.

They left with edge rusher solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off. Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.

A workmanlike haul that should hold up just fine.
