Draft Grade — Jets

FutureA+
The Jets let Schrader fall and pounced. Final grade: A. Thirty-one other rooms let Cody Schrader slide, and the Jets were the ones holding the card at the 231st pick. Highway robbery.
They won the margins on every swap, and it adds up fast. The edge rusher spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. Stover has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced.
Add it up and few war rooms did better this weekend, JC Latham and all.
Pick Analysis
Pick31
Rnd1
JC Latham
In the Round 1 slot they get a blindside protector, outstanding value to boot. A real need, handled.
Pick33
Rnd2
Rome Odunze
Rome Odunze in Round 2, Pick 1 is a gift, value that borders on unfair. The roster fit checks out.
Pick63
Rnd2
Carson Beck
A top-tier quarterback at a bargain, Carson Beck in pick 63, plain and simple. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick65
Rnd3
Jordan Morgan
Quietly one of the better values of the day, Jordan Morgan at pick No. 65. It fills a real need, too.
Pick75
Rnd3
Keon Coleman
They barely believed it either: Keon Coleman still on the board at the 75th overall pick. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick124
Rnd4
Cade Stover
They paid a round early for Cade Stover in slot 124, more than the board wanted. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
Pick158
Rnd5
Javion Cohen
Javion Cohen in the 158th pick is fair value, right on his grade. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick180
Rnd6
Cole Bishop
They robbed the room for Cole Bishop here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick209
Rnd6
Zy Alexander
Taking Zy Alexander in the 209th pick is close to grand larceny; a cornerback that good had no business lasting this long. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick210
Rnd6
Malachi Moore
Steal is underselling it; Malachi Moore at slot 210 is a heist with the alarm still ringing. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick220
Rnd6
Moose Muhammad III
They will replay Moose Muhammad III at Round 6, Pick 45 for years; that is how good the value is. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick231
Rnd7
Cody Schrader
Cody Schrader in the 231st overall pick should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick235
Rnd7
Joe Milton III
You do not let a quarterback like Joe Milton III reach No. 235 and blink. They did not. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
