GreenReaper DRAFTING FOR THEJets

Draft Grade — Jets
Overall

FutureB-
The Jets did the meat-and-potatoes work well: B-. Call it a hunch or call it a gamble, but the Jets spent the Round 5 slot on Que Robinson, a name most had 29 spots down the list. The bottom line is a respectable B-.
Whatever else happened, they won the night they took Parrish. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped quarterback, which is a strange place to end up. They left with cornerback solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.
Not a headline-grabber, but a perfectly good weekend's work.
Pick Analysis
Pick7
Rnd1
Armand Membou
In pick No. 7 they get a blindside protector. A clean fit for the roster.
Pick42
Rnd2
Tyleik Williams
A reasonable price with a little left over, Tyleik Williams in the Round 2 slot. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick73
Rnd3
Jayden Higgins
Jayden Higgins is a better player than the 73rd overall pick suggests; smart patience, rewarded. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick110
Rnd4
Terrance Ferguson
Terrance Ferguson in slot 110 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. It adds depth where they could use a little.
Pick145
Rnd5
Jacob Parrish
Jacob Parrish at the 145th pick is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick162
Rnd5
Que Robinson
Que Robinson at No. 162 is the kind of overdraft that needs everything to break right. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick186
Rnd6
Dont'e Thornton Jr.
A clean, defensible pick in pick 186 with a little surplus value in Dont'e Thornton Jr.. It fills a real need, too.
Pick207
Rnd6
Caleb Rogers
Nothing to complain about; Caleb Rogers went a shade earlier than his grade, which is fine. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
