GreenReaper DRAFTING FOR THECardinals
Draft Selections
Draft Grade — Cardinals
Overall

FutureB-
More right than wrong for the Cardinals, and a B- to prove it. There is a lot to like until you notice quarterback is still a hole. The Cardinals never got to the one that mattered most. More right than wrong, and a B- to match.
They are betting Milum proves the room right and everyone else wrong. That is a wide receiver worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly.
In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.
Pick Analysis
Pick16
Rnd1
Jahdae Barron
In pick No. 16 they get a press-man option on the boundary at fair value. Need was not the driver here.
Pick47
Rnd2
Wyatt Milum
Wyatt Milum in pick 47 is the kind of reach that only looks good if he outplays it. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick78
Rnd3
Chris Paul Jr.
A market-rate linebacker, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Chris Paul Jr.. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick115
Rnd4
Tez Johnson
The board had Tez Johnson higher than the 115th pick, and the wide receiver fell to them anyway. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick152
Rnd5
Ty Robinson
A reach on Ty Robinson in the Round 5 slot; the board had better options right there. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick225
Rnd7
Cam Jackson
Cam Jackson at No. 225 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
