FutureA
Grand theft in pick 42: the Jets steal Warren and grade out a B-. This is the pick they will still be bragging about in July: Tyler Warren, the No. 15 name on the board, stolen at Round 2, Pick 10.
The Thornton Jr. reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade. That quarterback hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. The dealing tilted against them, just enough to notice.
Good work on the whole, with quarterback the one box left unchecked.
Pick Analysis
Pick12
Rnd1
Armand Membou
In the 12th pick they get a building block for the line. A real need, handled.
Pick42
Rnd2
Tyler Warren
They barely believed it either: Tyler Warren still on the board at slot 42. A minor itch, scratched.
Pick73
Rnd3
Elic Ayomanor
Good price on Elic Ayomanor in pick No. 73, a hair ahead of his grade with no real quibbles. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick110
Rnd4
Ty Hamilton
Ty Hamilton in the Round 4 slot is a reach so steep the board needed a second look to believe it. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick145
Rnd5
Kobe King
Circle this one: Kobe King at No. 145 is a fall that decides a draft. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
Pick162
Rnd5
Dont'e Thornton Jr.
Value said wait; Dont'e Thornton Jr. in Round 5, Pick 24 says they were not listening. The roster fit checks out.
Pick186
Rnd6
KeAndre Lambert-Smith
They paid a round early for KeAndre Lambert-Smith in pick 186, more than the board wanted. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick207
Rnd6
Brandon Crenshaw-Dickson
Nothing to complain about; Brandon Crenshaw-Dickson went a shade earlier than his grade, which is fine. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
