Somewhere a scout is still blinking. The Jets spent the 81st overall pick on Joshua Farmer, a name the board had a full 34 spots lower. More right than wrong, and a B- to match.

Golden falling to them is the kind of break a good board is built to catch. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped quarterback, which is a strange place to end up. The future picks help the war chest more than the win-now roster.

Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.
