Grand theft in the 218th pick: the Jets steal Rouse and grade out a A-.

Somebody in slot 218 was going to get robbed, and it turned out to be the rest of the league. The Jets sat still while Walter Rouse, the No. 172 name on the board, slid all the way to them, then sprinted to the podium. The sum of the weekend is a deserved A-.

The phones were where this weekend was really won. The edge rusher hole is the one line item this class does not answer. Job largely done: quarterback settled and 5 of 8 of the wish list covered.

The future picks help the war chest more than the win-now roster.
