A sensible, unshowy class lands the Jets a B+.

You can fall in love with a player. You are not supposed to marry him in the wrong round. The Jets did exactly that with Fabien Lovett in the Round 7 slot.

On value alone, Jones makes the weekend a net positive. If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through quarterback. Adding Van Jefferson by trade rounds out the weekend beyond the rookies.

A modest surplus at the table, banked quietly.

Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.
