Draft Grade — Jets
Overall B+
ValueB NeedB TradesA+ FutureC+
The Jets found their guy under center in Dart: B+.

Start where it matters. The Jets took Jaxson Dart to run the offense for the next decade, and every other decision this weekend bends around that one. More right than wrong, and a B+ to match.

On value alone, Collins makes the weekend a net positive. The cost of the Garcia reach is exactly the players who went right after him.

They won the margins on every swap, and it adds up fast. Leaving edge rusher unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the edge rusher spot they never got to.

Pick Analysis
Pick30 Rnd1 Tyler Warren
In the 30th overall pick they get a matchup weapon at tight end, outstanding value to boot. Need was not the driver here.
Pick31 Rnd1 Jaxson Dart
In Round 1, Pick 31 they get their quarterback of the future, though the board says they badly overpaid. The biggest hole, addressed.
Pick56 Rnd2 Tre Harris
Good things come to war rooms that wait, and Tre Harris at the Round 2 slot is the proof. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick92 Rnd3 Jihaad Campbell
Jihaad Campbell at the 92nd pick is the steal of the weekend, a first-round talent at a bargain-bin price. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
Pick109 Rnd4 Alfred Collins
Taking Alfred Collins in pick 109 is close to grand larceny; an interior defensive lineman that good had no business lasting this long. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick110 Rnd4 Andrew Mukuba
They barely believed it either: Andrew Mukuba still on the board at slot 110. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick146 Rnd5 Malachi Moore
Circle this one: Malachi Moore at No. 146 is a fall that decides a draft. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick157 Rnd5 Emery Jones Jr.
Somehow Emery Jones Jr. was still sitting there in pick No. 157, and they pounced on premier offensive lineman value. It fills a real need, too.
Pick188 Rnd6 Jabbar Muhammad
A cornerback of that caliber at No. 188 is the definition of value, full stop. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick209 Rnd6 Raheim Sanders
Raheim Sanders at Round 6, Pick 31 is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick229 Rnd7 Gino Garcia
Gino Garcia at the 229th pick is the kind of overdraft that needs everything to break right. Pure best-available; the position was not exactly begging.
