The Chiefs checked most of the boxes and earned a B-.

There is reaching, and then there is Vincent Anthony Jr. at Round 5, Pick 8. The Chiefs jumped the board by 29 and dared it to prove them wrong. It does the job without flash, and the B- reflects it.

Leaving wide receiver unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. That is a tight end worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly.

Tight end was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job. The trenches got the money picks, top to bottom.

Good work on the whole, with wide receiver the one box left unchecked.
