Draft Grade — Chiefs
Overall
B
ValueB-

FutureB-
The Chiefs robbed the room for Sadiq. Final grade: B. The Chiefs spent the weekend waiting on one name, and it fell: Kenyon Sadiq, the No. 25 name on the board, in No. 45. Solid and sensible more than spectacular: a B.
For all the activity, quarterback went untouched, which is hard to explain. Reaching for Hunter left real value on the table behind him. Wide receiver was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.
A competent weekend that does not make headlines and does not need to.
Pick Analysis
Pick14
Rnd1
Gennings Dunker
In the 14th overall pick they get a long-term starter on the line, reach and all. The biggest hole, addressed.
Pick45
Rnd2
Kenyon Sadiq
Kenyon Sadiq in pick No. 45 should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick79
Rnd3
Dillon Thieneman
Dillon Thieneman at Round 3, Pick 15 is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
Pick114
Rnd4
Justice Haynes
Justice Haynes slid further than he should have, and the Round 4 slot is lovely value for the running back. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick154
Rnd5
Chase Roberts
A quiet steal in the 154th pick: Chase Roberts for less than the market said. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick178
Rnd5
Lee Hunter
Lee Hunter at pick 178 is the kind of overdraft that needs everything to break right. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
