Draft Grade — Browns
Overall B-
ValueB- NeedB+ TradesB- FutureB-
Moss should have been long gone. The Browns pounced, and earned a B-.

This is the pick they will still be bragging about in July: Miller Moss, the No. 207 name on the board, stolen at No. 243. More right than wrong, and a B- to match.

If Jacas pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about. They will regret leaving interior defensive lineman for another day if the season turns on it.

Quarterback was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job. The trenches got the money picks, top to bottom.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but interior defensive lineman.

Pick Analysis
Pick2 Rnd1 Rueben Bain Jr.
A market-rate edge rusher, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Rueben Bain Jr.. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick21 Rnd1 Matayo Uiagalelei
A premium they did not need to pay, Matayo Uiagalelei a notch or two before his time. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick38 Rnd2 Romello Height
They reached into another round for Romello Height, and the board is nowhere close to agreeing. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick69 Rnd3 Gabe Jacas
Gabe Jacas in the Round 3 slot is a bet on their own eyes over everyone else's grade. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick104 Rnd4 Nicholas Singleton
A slide stopped in the 104th pick, with Nicholas Singleton worth more than the price. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick144 Rnd5 Blake Miller
The board had Blake Miller higher than pick 144, and the offensive lineman fell to them anyway. The roster fit checks out.
Pick148 Rnd5 Sammy Omosigho
They paid sticker price for Sammy Omosigho in pick No. 148, and that is fine. A minor itch, scratched.
Pick149 Rnd5 Aaron Anderson
Aaron Anderson in the 149th overall pick is fair value, right on his grade. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick241 Rnd7 Kayin Lee
A reach on Kayin Lee in Round 7, Pick 24; the board had better options right there. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick243 Rnd7 Miller Moss
You do not let a quarterback like Miller Moss reach No. 243 and blink. They did not. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
