Draft Grade — Jets
Overall A-
ValueB+ NeedB- TradesA+ FutureA+
Igbinosun should have been long gone. The Jets pounced, and earned a A-.

Whoever sat across the table from the Jets should ask for a receipt. They cleaned the room out, prying loose far more value than they gave up, and it was the quiet MVP of their weekend. Very little went wrong, and the A- is earned.

That is a cornerback worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly. For all the activity, interior defensive lineman went untouched, which is hard to explain.

With interior defensive lineman unsolved, spending premium capital on linebacker is the choice that costs them.

In short, they turned a good board into a better roster, and it shows.

Pick Analysis
Pick12 Rnd1 Jeremiyah Love
In the 12th pick they get a bell-cow for the offense at a price that makes it sweeter.
Pick18 Rnd1 Arvell Reese
In Round 1, Pick 18 they get a green-dot type in the middle, and a steal at that. More want than need.
Pick44 Rnd2 LT Overton
By-the-book stuff, LT Overton at No. 44 squarely in line with his ranking. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick48 Rnd2 CJ Allen
A want over a need in slot 48: CJ Allen adds a linebacker while interior defensive lineman keeps waiting.
Pick103 Rnd4 Cade Klubnik
A tidy bit of business in the 103rd overall pick, where Cade Klubnik graded well above the range. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick120 Rnd4 Eli Raridon
Eli Raridon in pick No. 120 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
Pick175 Rnd5 Davison Igbinosun
Davison Igbinosun at the 175th overall pick is the steal of the weekend, a first-round talent at a bargain-bin price. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick178 Rnd5 Kobe Baynes
The board had Kobe Baynes higher than the Round 5 slot, and the offensive lineman fell to them anyway. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick192 Rnd6 Miles Kitselman
Good price on Miles Kitselman in pick No. 192, a hair ahead of his grade with no real quibbles. Stacking talent where they were already deep.
Pick206 Rnd6 Bryce Foster
Bryce Foster in Round 6, Pick 27 is fine work, a shade of surplus and no downside. It fills a real need, too.
Pick209 Rnd6 Gunner Stockton
They did well to land Gunner Stockton in pick 209, just ahead of his grade. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick218 Rnd7 Dijon Johnson
Dijon Johnson in slot 218 is fair value, right on his grade. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick236 Rnd7 Jalen Catalon
Nothing to complain about; Jalen Catalon went a shade earlier than his grade, which is fine. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick242 Rnd7 London Humphreys
Fair-plus on London Humphreys, a quiet win that adds up over a draft. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
