Draft Grade — 49ers
Overall B-
ValueC NeedB+ TradesB- FutureB-
Good, not great, for the 49ers: B-.

The war room fell hard for Brian Parker II, and it showed at pick No. 57: 29 picks ahead of a board that had other ideas. A dependable weekend that grades out a B-.

That is a quarterback worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly. A whole weekend of picks and wide receiver is somehow still a want.

On the needs board they went 3 of 8, with offensive lineman the one that mattered most.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but wide receiver.

Pick Analysis
Pick26 Rnd1 Isaiah World
They liked Isaiah World enough to skip the value, taking him in the 26th overall pick. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick57 Rnd2 Brian Parker II
Brian Parker II at pick No. 57 is a steep price for a hunch, hard to square with any board. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick91 Rnd3 A.J. Haulcy
Good things come to war rooms that wait, and A.J. Haulcy at the Round 3 slot is the proof. It adds depth where they could use a little.
Pick126 Rnd4 Diego Pavia
Diego Pavia at Round 4, Pick 26 is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick134 Rnd4 Michael Trigg
By-the-book stuff, Michael Trigg at pick 134 squarely in line with his ranking. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick139 Rnd4 Jude Bowry
Jude Bowry at No. 139 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick140 Rnd4 Logan Jones
No drama and no debate, Logan Jones went about where he belonged in pick No. 140. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
