The Jets let Lovett fall and pounced. Final grade: C+.

Every swap seemed to tilt away from the Jets, and the value they bled adds up to real damage. It lands right in the middle: a C+, no more, no less.

They banked enough surplus on Lovett to cover a lot of smaller sins. Leaving cornerback unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. The veteran additions, Christian Barmore chief among them, give the class a floor the rookies alone would not.

Stockpiling next year's capital is patient, if unglamorous, asset work.

It nets out as a middle-of-the-pack haul that neither helps nor hurts much.
