The Jets cashed the board's mistake on Monheim: D.

You can fall in love with a player. You are not supposed to marry him in the wrong round. The Jets did exactly that with Joey Slackman in the Round 6 slot. Too much went sideways, and the D is the honest tally.

Landing Monheim that late papers over a lot of smaller sins. They lost the exchange badly enough to drag the whole class down.

On the needs board they went 8 of 8, with quarterback the one that mattered most.

Bottom line, they will need several of these picks to beat their grades just to break even.
