Draft Grade — Dolphins
Overall B
ValueB NeedB TradesC+ FutureB-
The Dolphins won the night they stopped Trigg from sliding. Grade: B.

You could see the war room lean forward. Michael Trigg at slot 131 is the sort of fall that does not happen, except it just did. The bottom line is a respectable B.

Every board in the league had Jatta lower, and that gap is the story. A whole weekend of picks and quarterback is somehow still a want.

They left with wide receiver solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off. Value over need was the throughline, for better and worse.

A competent weekend that does not make headlines and does not need to.

Pick Analysis
Pick11 Rnd1 Jordyn Tyson
A market-rate wide receiver, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Jordyn Tyson. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick43 Rnd2 Brandon Cisse
Nice patience on Brandon Cisse, who had no business lasting to the 43rd pick. It adds depth where they could use a little.
Pick75 Rnd3 Kamari Ramsey
Kamari Ramsey at No. 75 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
Pick87 Rnd3 Jacob Rodriguez
Good things come to war rooms that wait, and Jacob Rodriguez at pick No. 87 is the proof. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick90 Rnd3 Domonique Orange
A slide stopped in the Round 3 slot, with Domonique Orange worth more than the price. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick131 Rnd4 Michael Trigg
Michael Trigg at the 131st overall pick is the steal of the weekend, a first-round talent at a bargain-bin price. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick149 Rnd5 DeMonte Capehart
Fair-plus on DeMonte Capehart, a quiet win that adds up over a draft. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick227 Rnd7 Isaiah Jatta
A wild overpay on Isaiah Jatta in Round 7, Pick 11, the sort that defines a class for the wrong reasons. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
