The Giants drew a line under the quarterback search with Daniels: F. The war room fell hard for Caedan Wallace, and it showed at slot 161: 52 picks ahead of a board that had other ideas. A F, plain and simple.
So much rides on Jayden Daniels that the rest of the class almost grades on a curve behind him. Overpaying at the table undid a lot of the good work elsewhere. However the rest shakes out, McKinstry at that price is a win they earned.
They are betting the present roster is worth a lighter draft next spring.
There is no soft landing here; this class has to massively overperform just to matter.
