Call it larceny. Tai Felton sat on the board until the Round 5 slot, and the Giants did not need to be asked twice.

Quinn Ewers is the bet, and the class will be judged on how it pays off. The Gadsden II reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade. Overpaying at the table undid a lot of the good work elsewhere.

Leaving safety unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.

Bottom line, they will need several of these picks to beat their grades just to break even, and safety is still a hole.
