The Giants left with their quarterback, and a D to match. The Caedan Wallace pick is the one that will follow the Giants into the fall. They took him 62 spots ahead of his grade, and the board is not shy about saying so. Too much went sideways, and the D is the honest tally.
Getting Sainristil where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class. They lost the exchange badly enough to drag the whole class down.
They have staked the next five years on Caleb Williams, which is the only story that really matters here.
Bottom line, they will need several of these picks to beat their grades just to break even.
