Call it larceny. Donovan Jackson sat on the board until pick No. 166, and the Giants did not need to be asked twice.

They have staked the next five years on Carson Beck, which is the only story that really matters here. They robbed the room blind at the table, and it lifts the grade on its own.

That safety hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. The James Daniels deal gives the class an established piece to lean on.

Good work on the whole, with safety the one box left unchecked.
