Draft Grade — Giants
Overall
D
ValueB+

FutureB-
The Giants answered their biggest question with Ewers. Grade: D. The tape said wait; the Giants did not. Khordae Sydnor went at the Round 7 slot, a good 31 picks before the board was ready.
Quinn Ewers gives the offense a face and a plan, and the grade leans heavily on whether he hits. Overpaying at the table undid a lot of the good work elsewhere.
The interior defensive lineman hole is the one line item this class does not answer. On value alone, Davis makes the weekend a net positive.
In the end, a class the front office will want to grow past quickly.
Pick Analysis
Pick14
Rnd1
Quinn Ewers
In pick 14 they get a long-term answer under center at fair value.
Pick15
Rnd1
Benjamin Morrison
In the 15th pick they get a ballhawk on the outside. A clean fit for the roster.
Pick16
Rnd1
Emeka Egbuka
In the Round 1 slot they get a home-run threat at receiver. The biggest hole, addressed.
Pick22
Rnd1
Malaki Starks
In No. 22 they get a downhill hitter at safety at fair value. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Pick38
Rnd2
Nic Scourton
A slide stopped in Round 2, Pick 6, with Nic Scourton worth more than the price. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick70
Rnd3
Tacario Davis
Tacario Davis in the 70th overall pick should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. It fills a real need, too.
Pick78
Rnd3
Tate Ratledge
Tate Ratledge at Round 3, Pick 14 is the steal of the weekend, a first-round talent at a bargain-bin price. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick102
Rnd4
Elic Ayomanor
A top-tier wide receiver at a bargain, Elic Ayomanor in the 102nd overall pick, plain and simple. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick134
Rnd5
Jonah Monheim
Somehow Jonah Monheim was still sitting there in pick No. 134, and they pounced on premier offensive lineman value. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick139
Rnd5
Donovan Edwards
They barely believed it either: Donovan Edwards still on the board at slot 139. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick166
Rnd6
Ricky White
Circle this one: Ricky White at No. 166 is a fall that decides a draft. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick184
Rnd6
Marques Cox
A clean, defensible pick in the Round 6 slot with a little surplus value in Marques Cox. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick198
Rnd7
Khordae Sydnor
They reached into another round for Khordae Sydnor, and the board is nowhere close to agreeing. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick219
Rnd7
Jalen Travis
Jalen Travis at pick 219 is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
