The Giants found their guy under center in Daniels: D. When a board-topper like Brock Bowers slides to No. 70, you do not overthink it, and the Giants did not. The board pushed back all weekend, and the D is the result.
The trades bled value they could not afford to lose. They will need Wallace to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it. The whole projection now runs through Jayden Daniels; hit there and everything else looks smarter.
The Giants paired the rookies with proven help, Cordell Volson leading the way.
Bottom line, they will be counting on several picks to beat their grades.
