A franchise passer in Daniels headlines a D weekend for the Giants. The rest of the league will want that one back. Jackson Powers-Johnson tumbling to the Giants in pick No. 101 is a gift they did not have to think twice about.
Jayden Daniels is the bet, and the class will be judged on how it pays off. They handed away value on the phones that the picks cannot earn back.
The Milton III reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade. With interior defensive lineman unsolved, spending premium capital on linebacker is the choice that costs them.
That interior defensive lineman hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall.
Add it up and it is a weekend the front office will hope everyone forgets, interior defensive lineman very much included.
