The Giants finally solved quarterback, and it carried them to a D-. Nobody had Caedan Wallace this high, and it is not close. The Giants reached 55 spots to get him at the 158th overall pick. The board pushed back all weekend, and the D- is the result.
The trade table is where this weekend went wrong. Everything downstream of Jayden Daniels depends on Jayden Daniels, and the building knows it. Whatever else happened, they won the night they took Melton.
The Giants clearly valued win-now help, adding bodies who have done it before.
The verdict is not kind, and fairly so; this class has a hill to climb.
