Draft Grade — Giants
Overall D
ValueB NeedB TradesF FutureB
The Giants found their guy under center in Milroe: D.

Thirty-one other rooms let Garrett Nussmeier slide, and the Giants were the ones holding the card at pick No. 134. Highway robbery. Put together, it is a D.

They handed away value on the phones that the picks cannot earn back. Durant has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced. Everything downstream of Jalen Milroe depends on Jalen Milroe, and the building knows it.

Bottom line, they will need several of these picks to beat their grades just to break even.

Pick Analysis
Pick16 Rnd1 Kelvin Banks Jr.
In the Round 1 slot they get a building block for the line, outstanding value to boot. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Pick17 Rnd1 Tre Harris
In No. 17 they get a go-to option on the outside at fair value. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Pick32 Rnd1 Jalen Milroe
Jalen Milroe in slot 32 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick40 Rnd2 Deone Walker
They took Deone Walker at par in the 40th pick, which is nothing to complain about. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick49 Rnd2 Isaiah Bond
Circle this one: Isaiah Bond at Round 2, Pick 17 is a fall that decides a draft. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick50 Rnd2 Carson Beck
They will replay Carson Beck at the Round 2 slot for years; that is how good the value is. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick51 Rnd2 Clay Webb
Good price on Clay Webb in the 51st overall pick, a hair ahead of his grade with no real quibbles. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick52 Rnd2 Domani Jackson
They left a pile of value on the table to take Domani Jackson this early at No. 52. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick83 Rnd3 Jason Marshall Jr.
Jason Marshall Jr. in pick No. 83 is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick87 Rnd3 Devin Neal
They barely believed it either: Devin Neal still on the board at pick 87. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick107 Rnd4 Danny Stutsman
A quiet steal in pick No. 107: Danny Stutsman for less than the market said. A minor need, but a need all the same.
Pick110 Rnd4 Tacario Davis
Quietly one of the better values of the day, Tacario Davis at slot 110. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick113 Rnd4 Kalel Mullings
They robbed the room for Kalel Mullings here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick116 Rnd4 Antwaun Powell-Ryland
Antwaun Powell-Ryland in Round 4, Pick 15 is the kind of reach that only looks good if he outplays it. It fills a real need, too.
Pick134 Rnd4 Garrett Nussmeier
Garrett Nussmeier at the 134th overall pick is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. The roster fit checks out.
Pick157 Rnd5 Hunter Wohler
They paid up for Hunter Wohler at the Round 5 slot when waiting would have done the job. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick166 Rnd5 Davin Vann
No drama and no debate, Davin Vann went about where he belonged in No. 166. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick186 Rnd6 Logan Brown
The board fumbled Logan Brown all the way to the 186th pick, and they scooped it up. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick188 Rnd6 Gunnar Helm
Gunnar Helm at the 188th pick is the steal of the weekend, a first-round talent at a bargain-bin price. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick217 Rnd7 Tez Johnson
Steal is underselling it; Tez Johnson at pick 217 is a heist with the alarm still ringing. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick242 Rnd7 Oronde Gadsden II
They paid sticker price for Oronde Gadsden II in Round 7, Pick 28, and that is fine. It fills a real need, too.
Pick255 Rnd7 Zane Durant
They talked themselves into Zane Durant at the Round 7 slot, and the board did not agree. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
