The Cowboys lost the trade war and it was not close, handing partners the better end again and again. Put together, it is a D-.

The Watts reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade. For all the activity, tight end went untouched, which is hard to explain.

The McClellan value carries more weight than any single miss elsewhere. They are betting the present roster is worth a lighter draft next spring.

Bottom line, they will need several of these picks to beat their grades just to break even, and tight end is still a hole.
