SkittlemanX22 DRAFTING FOR THEBrowns
Draft Selections
Draft Grade — Browns
Overall
B

FutureB-
Good, not great, for the Browns: B. The Browns did not so much draft Shaun Dolac as overpay for him, 115 picks clear of his grade. It sets an uneasy tone for the weekend. Good, not great, and the B says as much.
However the rest shakes out, Simon at that price is a win they earned. They will regret leaving interior defensive lineman for another day if the season turns on it. Quarterback is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.
They reloaded the coverage unit in bulk.
A workmanlike haul that should hold up just fine.
Pick Analysis
Pick2
Rnd1
Travis Hunter
In pick 2 they get a ballhawk on the outside. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Pick33
Rnd2
Emeka Egbuka
Emeka Egbuka in the 33rd pick is a bargain the rest of the room will envy. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick67
Rnd3
TreVeyon Henderson
TreVeyon Henderson slipping to the Round 3 slot is the kind of luck good rooms make for themselves. It fills a real need, too.
Pick94
Rnd3
Jaxson Dart
Jaxson Dart at pick No. 94 is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick103
Rnd4
Kaimon Rucker
They left a pile of value on the table to take Kaimon Rucker this early at No. 103. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick165
Rnd5
Quincy Riley
The board had cheaper options than Quincy Riley at Round 5, Pick 26, and it noticed. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick181
Rnd6
Cobee Bryant
Cobee Bryant at the 181st pick is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick194
Rnd6
Cody Simon
Cody Simon at the Round 6 slot is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. A minor itch, scratched.
Pick202
Rnd6
Shaun Dolac
A real head-scratcher, Shaun Dolac in No. 202 is miles ahead of his ranking. Pure best-available; the position was not exactly begging.
Pick216
Rnd6
Bryson Nesbit
They reached into another round for Bryson Nesbit, and the board is nowhere close to agreeing. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick217
Rnd6
Hayden Conner
A tidy little value on Hayden Conner in slot 217, a step better than break-even. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick257
Rnd7
John Williams
A tidy bit of business in the 257th overall pick, where John Williams graded well above the range. The roster fit checks out.
