The Bears ran the phones like sharks, prying loose value on deal after deal until the ledger was lopsided. Good, not great, and the B says as much.

The Alexander pick is the one the value grade keeps tripping over. That running back hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall.

The veteran additions, Jeffery Simmons chief among them, give the class a floor the rookies alone would not. Edge rusher is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.

Good work on the whole, with running back the one box left unchecked.
