The Cowboys worked the phones like thieves and earned a A-. There is reaching, and then there is Ethan Downs at the 247th overall pick. The Cowboys jumped the board by 37 and dared it to prove them wrong. A near-flawless weekend of work, and a A- to cap it.
The phones were where this weekend was really won. The quarterback hole is the one line item this class does not answer. The Lane steal is the beam this whole class leans on.
In the end it comes back to Kenneth Grant, and a haul good enough to build on right away.
