The Cowboys leave the weekend clear winners: A-. The Cowboys torched the value chart for JJ Pegues, taking him 31 spots sooner than anyone had him slotted. The board rewarded a patient, disciplined weekend with a A-.
That is a wide receiver worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly. The Adonai Mitchell pickup adds a known quantity to a class of unknowns.
They squeezed a little extra out of every move they made. They went 8 of 8 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for.
Bottom line, with Jahdae Barron leading the way, this is a class that should pay off fast and rarely be regretted.
