The best pick of the weekend was also the simplest. The Patriots watched Johnny Wilson slide 67 picks past his grade and did not hesitate. This is how you run a draft, and the A reflects it.

So much rides on Jayden Daniels that the rest of the class almost grades on a curve behind him. The dealing alone would carry a lesser class.

The edge rusher spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. The Patriots clearly valued win-now help, adding bodies who have done it before.

Few war rooms will sleep better than this one tonight.
